We want to take this opportunity to share some important information about this year’s ceremony, as well as information concerning our seniors’ last days and events. \n1. The last full day of classes for seniors will be on Friday, May 8. Senior exams will take place Monday, May 11-Wednesday, May 13. On Thursday, May 14 , all seniors will be participating in Eagles ’ Last Flight--a senior celebration. On Friday, May 15 , all seniors will attend the senior breakfast and graduation rehearsal. Attendance on both Thursday and Friday is required for our seniors. See the enclosed newsletter for more information. \n2. The ceremony will be held in the high school football stadium. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in our gymnasium. The decision to move the ceremony will be made on the day of graduation and will be messaged through our district website and with an “all-call”, if necessary. \n3. If our graduation ceremony this year is held outdoors, guests will not need tickets for entry. \n4. However, if we are forced to move indoors due to inclimate weather, each graduate will be allowed 4 tickets for guests. Beginning on Thursday, May 14 , families will be able to access their tickets using their graduate's student ID number. The QR code to obtain tickets will be posted to Schoology at that time. Beginning Monday, May 4 , any family needing extra tickets will be able to submit their request through a link posted to Schoology. Requests for extra tickets can be made anytime that week, but must be made prior to midnight on Friday, May 8. \n5. Graduates will be inspected to ensure they are wearing proper attire, including dress shoes ( NO high heels will be allowed because of the turf field) . Blue jeans, flip flops, tennis shoes, shorts, hats or other inappropriate attire will not be permitted. Additionally, students are not permitted to decorate their caps. \n6. Graduates should not bring purses or any other personal belongings that need to be secured during the ceremony. All graduates should be checked in no later than 6 :00 p. m. \n7. The only individuals who will be permitted in the building prior to the ceremony will be the graduates, the BWHS staff and the guests who will be participating. If parents and family want to take pictures before the ceremony this should be done before the students enter the building. \n8. Families or parents requiring special seating accommodations must have their information submitted to Mrs. Strahler in the school counseling office or submitted online by Wednesday, May 13. \n9. Following the ceremony, all graduates will recess out of the stadium to meet family and friends around the flag pole. We request that all persons in attendance conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the formal nature of the occasion. The use of artificial noisemakers, shouting out names, etc. is not only disruptive, but reflects poorly on a dignified ceremony. We want everyone to show the proper respect and courtesy to every student. All of our graduates have worked hard to reach this milestone and it is only right that each and every student should be able to hear their name as it is read out loud. This is a memorable event in the lives of our graduates and we do not want to blemish that memory in any way. Your cooperation is appreciated. \nWe look forward to seeing you on May 16th as we honor the Class of 2026. \nGreetings Class of 2026 and Families! Graduation is right around the corner!
