Secondary \nLevel:Secondary Six \n## Introduction\n\nExpressing gratitude is important and beneficial.Building the sense of gratitude in school canpromote emotional well-being and help students feel better physically and psychologically, andit also contributes to cultivate a feeling of connection to community and strengthenrelationships with friends and family.Every year in March, our school organizes a CharityBazaar where students set up small stalls to sell handmade products or host activities in orderto raise money for people in need. Our school aims to cultivate an atmosphere of gratitude andeducate students to learn to be grateful about what they have possessed throughout their lives.Taking this opportunity and furthering the journey of being grateful, the objective of thisgrammar lesson for Secondary 6 students is to equip them with grammatical inversionknowledge in the context of expressing thanks to people who have made an impact on themduring the school years.Secondary 6 students are leaving the school and graduating soon, andtheir next step is higher education or entering workforce,so it is necessary for them to learnadvanced grammatical knowledge to prepare for higher education and reflect upon their lifejourney at this critical stage. \nThis is a grammar-focused lesson with mixed essential English learning skills:reading, writing, listening and speaking. All these skills are practiced through different designs of classroomactivities. For reading, students are exposed to various text types, such as dialogue and letter,to identify the sentences in inversion and discover the structure of inversion sentences.Forlistening, students need to listen to teachers'instruction and are able to watch a teacher-madevideo to compose grammatical sentences. For writing, students have to compose a thanksgivingletter by using inversion structure to teachers or school.Lastly for speaking, students haveample opportunities to express their ideas and thoughts regarding the topic. All in all, thislesson greatly enhances students'different English learning skills as well as strengthen students'moral identity and ethical value.Besides, there are regular formative assessments to monitorstudents'learning progress, such as exit-slip and in-class practices,to help students reinforcethe learning of grammatical inversion. \nGuided discovery, also known as an inductive approach, encourages critical thinking and activelearning. The design of the lesson primarily grounded on guided discovery, students would beguided to discover the structure and formats of inversion through designated learning activitiesand group discussion, which foster teamwork spirit and further cultivate their multi-perspective \nthinking.Throughout the learning process, students explore the knowledge in an engaging andmeaningful way, which is likely to lead to higher level of knowledge retention. Moreover, inthe 21st century, the development of collaborative skills is crucial for all learners. To fosterthis essential ability,pair-work and group-work activities are incorporated into the lessons, providing students with opportunities to collaborate with diverse minds. The unit project alsolines with collaborative task where students need to craft a heartfelt thank-you letter to theschool as a cohesive group.Throughout this process, they are encouraged to activelybrainstorm ideas, share their thoughts, and express their opinions collectively.Additionally, this collaborative project serves as a platform for students to resolve conflicts, fosteringvaluable conflict resolution skills alongside their collaborative competencies. \nEncompassing correct grammar is important for English learning since it provides structureand rules for organizing words, phrases and sentences, allowing students to convey theiropinions accurately in both wri","cbCaijdURo8Nrzd7","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaijdURo8Nrzd7","pdf",5618374,61,"English","# Introduction\n# Class Background\n#
