all God’s people.  \nSpirituality of St. Francis de Sales  \nTo “Live Jesus” is to have the name of Jesus engraved on one’s heart and to allow that name to become one’sown true name, to allow one’s entire self to be animated by Jesus. To allow Jesus to live, one does not simply learn about Jesus or pray to Jesus or even imitate Jesus; one surrenders one’s heart to Jesus. What St. Paul says,“I no longer live but Christ lives in me,” is at the core of our distinctive Salesian Spirituality. Jesus was for the two early seventeenth century founders ofthe Salesian tradition (St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal) a presence to be experienced and a reality to be lived.
