As aresult,CWDs are directed to take the following corrective measures to ensurethat expedited service eligibil1ty is accurately determined.  \n# 1.  DFA 285-A1\n\na。  Verbally advise all applicants that the timeframe for expeditedservice processing is now five-calendar days;or,  \nb。   Hand-correct the form to indicate the five-calendar day timeframe(see attached English and Spanish samples);or,  \nC。   For CWDs which print their own supplies of the DFA 285-Al,revisethe statement as indicated on the attached samples.No otherrevision to the form is permitted。  \n# 2.   DFA 285-A1 Form Instructions\n\nUse the attached revlsed instructions for expedited service eligibility.In order to ensure an accurate determination,the applicant must beasked an additional question(Step 2),the answer must be documented inthe County-Use section,and al1 questions must be reviewed in theorder prescribed by the Expedited Service Eligibility Review table.  \nState printed application forms wi1l not be revised to reflect the expeditedservice changes unti1 October 1983 when monthly reporting/retrospective budget-ing is implemented.  \nAlso,please note this corrects an error in A11-County Letter No.83-55,dated June 16,1983.The maximum monthly gross income amount shown as\"less than $100\"should have read \"less than $150\".  \nShould you have any questions,please contact your Food Stamp Program  \ncc:CWDA  \n# Form Instructions(for Elig1bility Worker)\n\nApplication for Food Stamps -Part 1  \n## Purpose:\n\nThe DA 285-A1 is Part 1 of the food stamp application form completed by a11households when first applying for food stamps and at recertification.Part 1is used to initiate the application process and to identify households requiringexpedited service.To complete the application process,the household must aIsocomplete a DFA 285-A2 or a CA 2FS.  \n## Preparation:\n\n1st Section(Applicant Identification)  \nManual Sections:63-300.3,63-301.1  \nAn application is considered to be filed when it is received with the followinginformation by the appropriate CWD office:  \n1.   Applicant's name。  \n2.  Applicant's address.  \n3.
