This covers more about formatting than programming ( using functions in cells) . This will hopefully give you some ideas for things you can try yourself. \nSheets 2 \nSelecting Cells 5 \nEntering Sequences 9 \nFormatting Buttons 14 \nTable Formatting Example 26 \nConditional Formatting 32 \nDave Taenzer 1 September 2020 \nSheets \nEach Google Sheets document has one or more sheets. Each sheet contains rows and columns of cells. When you create a new document it has one sheet, which you can see at the bottom of the window: \nYou can rename the the sheet by clicking on the down arrow next to the name: \nDave Taenzer 2 September 2020 \nThis highlights the name and you can type in the new one: \nAnd click the Return key to change the name: \nYou can click the “+” button to add a new sheet: \nDave Taenzer 3 September 2020 \nSome of the built-in templates use multiple sheets. For example, the Monthly budget uses two sheets \nYou enter the income and expense transactions on the second sheet and they are summarized on the first (Summary) sheet. \nThe Calendar template has one sheet for the year and another for each month: \nMany of the templates use various sheets for their task. The first sheet usually has instructions on how to use the template and what you can change. \nDave Taenzer 4 September 2020 \nSelecting Cells \nTo select one cell, simply click on it: \nIt will be surrounded by a blue border: \nTo select a rectangle of cells drag from one corner to the opposite corner: \nDave Taenzer 5 September 2020 \nThe cells will be highlighted with a blue background. \nTo select all cells click in the upper left corner: \nAll the cells get the blue background: \nDave Taenzer 6 September 2020 \nTo highlight a column, click on the alphabetic column header: \nDave Taenzer 7 September 2020 \nTo highlight a row of cells, click on the numeric row number: \nThe row is highlighted in a blue background: \nDave Taenzer 8 September 2020 \nEntering Sequences \nYou can easily enter a sequence of numbers or dates into a row or column of cells. Enter two numbers in the sequence into two cells and highlight them: \nThen click on the solid blue rectangle at the lower right corner of the bottom cell and drag down as many rows as you need and let go: \nDave Taenzer 9 September 2020 \nThe sequence is based on the difference between the numbers. So, if you use 1 and 2 you will get 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , etc. \nGoogle Sheets is very smart about sequences. In some cases, you only need to enter data in the first cell: \nIf you drag down to row 12 , you will get a list of months: \nDave Taenzer 10 September 2020","cbCaivqEr1SgxoSU","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivqEr1SgxoSU","pdf",1446051,39,"English","# Sheets\n## Selecting Cells\n## Entering Sequences\n## Formatting\n## Table Formatting Example\n## Conditional Formatting","[{\"question\":\"How can you rename a sheet in Google Sheets?\",\"answer\":\"Click the down arrow next to the sheet name to highlight it, then type the new name and press Return.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the basic ways to select cells in Google Sheets?\",\"answer\":\"Click a single cell for one selection, drag to select a rectangle of cells, or use the upper-left corner to select all cells.
