Seeks residents out in their apartments as well as those in the common rooms.  \n● Sets up activity rooms with appropriate materials, decorations, tables, and chairs, and is responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean and orderly space.  \n● Spends one-on-one time with residents outside the activities room who do not attend activities as directed by the Activities Director.  \n● Will assist in maintaining appropriate documentation in a timely fashion on all residents regarding their activities, needs and attendance.  \n● Maintains supplies in an organized and orderly manner.  \n● Maintains a variety of activities that other staff may initiate in Activities staff absence.  \n● May shop for residents as needed, using the resident money transfer procedure and documenting appropriately.  \n● Performs special projects and other related duties as required, directed, or as the situation dictates.  \n● Will come prepared for the day, including familiarizing self with activities of the day.  \n● Assists with field trips, including bringing the resident face-book on all trips.  \n● Regular attendance at the workplace is required.  \nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:  \nProvides guidance and direction to volunteers.  \nQUALIFICATIONS:  \n● Ability to follow assigned activities program(s) .  \n● Ability to interact with residents in a calm, patient, and compassionate manner.  \n● Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.  \n● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  \n● Ability to effectively operate computers and assigned software.  \n● Knowledge of and ability to adhere to standards of quality.  \n● Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.  \nWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  \nWork is performed in an assisted living environment, involving frequent interaction with residents.
