We've provided options for uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as ideas for creative (and educational) play. Enjoy!  \n1. Prepare Materials  \n• Print a set of caterpillar letters (pages 3-16 for color and pages 17-30 for black-and-white) .  \n• Cut out the letter circles and the caterpillar's face.  \n• Laminate the caterpillar pieces for added durability, if desired.  \n2. Create the Caterpillar  \n• Create an ABC caterpillar by arranging the letter circles on the floor or table.  \n• Begin with the caterpillar's face, and then use the letter circles to create the caterpillar's body as shown above.  \n• Arrange the circles in a zigzag sequence to achieve the effect of a crawling caterpillar.  \nNOTE: Don't glue the pieces of the caterpillar together. Reuse the pieces again and again for extra fun and practice.  \n3. Explore the Alphabet  \nHere are some alphabet exploration ideas to get you started.  \n• Create an A-to-Z caterpillar using an entire set of caterpillar letters.  \n• Use both sets of letters to match pairs of uppercase and lowercase letters.  \n• Use the set of lowercase letters to create simple words.  \n• Spell your child's name with the letters.  \n• Encourage your child to name the caterpillar, and then spell the name using the caterpillar letters.  \n• Show your child a letter.
