Internet, Telecom and Computers esp. Software and forces relating to their governance, growth, technology, competition and consumer choice as it has evolved over the last decades or more. That has meant I have a good insight into what went wrong and why and what can be anticipated and put in place to ensure that these fast evolving industries continue to serve society and with innovation. That requires caution in ensuring choice and a level playing field for fostering competition and innovation. Otherwise, it’ll lead to distorted market place and serious public distrust in the system, endangering the healthy growth of services and industry itself. These can relate to poor governance, lack of transparency, poor contracting, poor and non-transparent handling of disputes resolution, not listening to the consumer voice etc. So, I can bring to the table, crossindustry experience in formulating and reviewing underlying processes.  \nThirdly, I have a very good analytical background by educational background, enriched by decades of use in practical situations and at various levels – from boardroom level analysis to market behavior and product design. Tools to support these through Big Data and Analytics are my pet topics. I have always led from the front in my functions in government and all consulting assignments through this strength. I also have a good sense and ability to argue out and document cases and reading and interpreting contracts and coming out with practical, creative and fairminded solutions.  \nFourthly, I have been in government for many decades and I understand conflicts amoung stakeholders, especially between governments and regulatory agencies and market players and consumers and market players.  \nFinally, my mind is free, fertile and I have the time to contribute on this global space.  \nI consider Internet and the core infrastructure managed by ICANN as a precious item for continued and thriving growth of Internet and its penetration to all parts of the world and for use in all walks of life.
