The “WKU Summer Faculty and Staff Golf Tournament,” is a longstanding tradition at the University and provides recreational, networking, and fellowship opportunities for its employees. We expect more than 150 employees, students, and alumni of the University to participate in this exciting and fun-filled tournament.  \nFunding from this tournament goes into our student development fund to support their attendance at state, regional, and national workshops, conferences, and certifications in addition to providing a scholarship to the“Most Outstanding Student Employee” and to a student employee “Who Makes A Difference” in the workplace, at WKU, and in the local community. This past year we were able to assist 17 students in attending either a state, regional, or national conference in addition to 4 students in obtaining a professional certification. Our 8 graduating graduate students received full-time job offers while 2 undergraduates received graduate assistantships. The highlight of the year though was having 1 of our graduate assistants received the NIRSA Foundation Student Scholarship and Leadership Award and 1 of our undergraduate students was selecting to present at the NIRSA Marketing Symposium plus once again 2 of our undergraduate students were selected to attend the WKU Leader Shape Program.  \nOur deadline for accepting sponsorships is June 18, 2021 as we will need to provide our print and sign shop with sponsor logos for our program and course signage. If your company is interested in providing any promotional items to be distributed to our participants I will need them prior to July 9, 2021 so we may include them in the participants’ gift bag at the tournament.  \nFour levels of patronage have been established to help make this a successful event for the students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni of Western Kentucky University.
