The form allows manual income adjustments for 2024 using income from 2025 or 2026, based on changes not tied to personal choice. It outlines how appeals are reviewed, when aid remains unchanged, required documentation, and how decisions will be communicated by student email.","2026-2027 Special Circumstance Appeal \nFinancial Aid Administrators are authorized to use professional judgment on a case by cases basis for students with special circumstances that affect a family's ability to pay for college education that are not reflected in the information provided on the FAFSA. Manual adjustments can be made to students’/parents’ income for 2024 based on income from years 2025 or 2026. In many cases, professional judgment adjustments made to the FAFSA do not result in significant changes to the federal Student Aid Index (SAI) and do not change astudent's financial aid eligibility. Professional judgments are made based on a change of income that is not a personal choice or personal responsibility. \nSection I: Student Information \n\n| Last Name First Name M I |\n| --- |\n| Street Address |\n\n\n| Student ID |\n| --- |\n| Date of Birth |\n\nCity State Zip Code Phone Number (including area code) \n @[students.chattahoocheetech.edu](students.chattahoocheetech.edu)[ ](students.chattahoocheetech.edu)Student Email Address \nSection II: Indicate the Special Circumstance and which year of income you want to be considered \n Changes in Family income or assets Separation or Divorce \n Recent unemployment of the student or a contributor Death of a Contributor \n Medical, dental or nursing home expenses not covered by insurance \n 2025 2026 \nInstructions: Complete this form and attach the required documentation.
