Apart from that, there is very little introduction to Herpetofauna among reptiles and amphibian lovers. There are also many cases of ownership and buying and selling of reptiles and amphibians that end with the forced taking of these Herpetofauna animals and even imprisonment for not having permission from the government. The problem of lack of knowledge about the types of Herpetofauna is one of the causes of the rarity of these animals which will become extinct in the future. Therefore, more effective and efficient conservation support efforts are needed in the form of research based on artificial intelligence to identify protected Herpetofauna animals in Indonesia. This research uses Machine Learning technology and the method used for segmentation is Deep Learning which is included in the YOLOstage and is very supportive in edge detection, color change, and classification. The use of this technology is implemented in a GUI application built in Python which can be used as a detection tool for the types of herpetofauna found in nature, in captivity, or in reptile trading markets. Therefore, Machine Learning Research Herpetofauna is very important to contribute to the government's conservation efforts to protect Herpetofauna and is expected to be sustainable for future generations.  \nPENDAHULUAN  \nHerpetofauna atau kelompok hewan yang terdiri dari reptil dan amfibi banyak terdapat di Indonesia. Spesies-spesiesherpetofauna diantaranya banyak dilindungi atau masuk dalam kategori hewan langka dan terancam punah[1] . Di Indonesia, Undang-Undang yang menjelaskan herpetofauna dilindungi dengan Nomor 5 Tahun 1990 yang berisi tentang Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Hayati dan Ekosistemnya, selain itu terdapat Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 7 Tahun 1999 tentang Pengawetan Jenis Tumbuhan dan Satwa [2] . Di Indonesia memiliki herpetofauna dilindungi di antaranya: ular sanca bodo (Python reticulatus), ular piton hijau (Chondropython viridis), kadal Sulawesi (Lepidodactylus lugubris), kura-kura sulawesi (Heosemys spinosa), katak terbang (Rhacophorus reinwardtii), dan banyak lagi[1] . Perlindungan herpetofauna dilindungi di Indonesia dilakukan dengan caramelarang pemburuannya, melarang perdagangan, serta melakukan pemantauan dan pengawasan terhadap habitat dan populasi herpetofauna tersebut. Kegiatan pelepasliaran dan penangkaran juga dilakukan untuk memperkuat populasi herpetofauna dilindungidi Indonesia[3] .  \nPemantauan dan pengawasan terhadap populasi herpetofauna dilindungi di Indonesia sangat penting namun masih kurang penerapannya, selain itujuga memerlukan waktu, tenaga dan biaya yang besar. Upaya dukungan yang tepat adalah mengharapkankepada masyarakat yang hendak melakukan perburuan, perdagangan, dan pemeliharaan harus mengetahui dan mengenal hewanhewan Herpetofauna yang dilindungi, sehingga dapat terhindar dari sangsi pidana dan denda yang sangat berat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu teknologi yang dapat membantu masyarakat untuk mengenal Herpetofauna dilindungi secara lebih efektif danefisien.
