Teknologi informasi mengubah sudut pandang kota dalam mengatur kebijakan, kota cerdas merupakan strategi pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam beberapa bidang dan tata kelola perkotaaan untuk mengubah infrastruktur kota dan pelayanan publik. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi pada proses perlu dilakukan agar terwujudnya kota cerdas berbasis pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Pemanfaatan teknologi pada penentuan pusat pelayanan masih sedikitdikarenakan kurangnya penelitian yang memiliki konsentrasi terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi informasi pada perencanaan tata ruang kota. Menggunakan metode machine learning dalamklasifikasi hirarki berdasarkan variabel pembentuk kota sangatlah memungkinkan. Proses input-process data menggunakan python. Pemilihan dataset didasarkan karakteristik kota yang serupa untuk mencapai nilai akurasi yang tinggi serta validasi data yang akurat. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pengujian model Random Forest memiliki nilai akurasi paling tinggi diantara empat metode lain. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melakukan simulasipenentuan pusat pelayanan dengan memanfaatkan metode machine learning sehingga dapat menjadi preseden untuk kabupaten/kota di Indonesia dalam mewujudkan inovasi dan pemanfaatan teknologi pada perencanaan wilayah dan kota. Information technology changes the city's perspective in setting policy, smart cities are a strategy for using information technology in several fields and urban governance to change city infrastructure and public services.
