This year, 164,117 candidates were permanently admitted to the DEF, 152 of whom are candidates. 000 permanent students , all of whom will be targeted. Pupils between the ages of 11 and 17 will be sent to secondary school , and those between the ages of 18 and 20 will go to vocational schools. The criteria used in this orientation were age , postgraduate education and the financial envelope allocated to school fees , semi-sessions and food pensions for private schools. The Mali Students' Association (AEEM) has seen a strike over the non-orientation of students holding THERS , strikes by private school promoters and a lack of supplies in schools since the beginning of the school year. The Student Association also plans to call a 72-hour strike from Friday , October 26 , to Tuesday , October 30. The AEM Coordinating Office states that it reserves the right to consider vigorous action unless the authorities put all children in the country on an equal footing in acquiring knowledge. Dr. Dia kalia Kone , Director General of the Education Sector Planning and Statistics Division (CPS) , explained that 38 billion Fcfa had been released to manage the management of DEF holders that was in the end more tricks. It took an additional $10 billion to manage the guidelines. Initial work was done to determine the criteria for leadership , but in the end , the desired financial envelope (48 billion Fcfa) proved unsustainable for the state. Thus , 17-year-olds who were originally sent to vocational schools will be transferred to secondary schools. There will also be a reduction in the quota allocated to private schools in the agro-school sectors. Dr. Dia kalia Kone noted that the cost of studying an agro-pastoral student is 317 ,000 fcfa per year , compared with 126 ,000 per year for secondary school students.
