Trading Card Game is a Japanese collectible card game developed and published by Konami. It is based on the fictional game Duel Monsters , created by manga artist Kazuki Takahashi , which appears in the manga part of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise! (titled Magic and Wizards) , and is the central plot device throughout its various anime adaptations and spin-off series. The trading card game was launched by Konami in 1999 in Japan and in March 2002 in North America. On July 7 , 2009 , it was named the best card trading game in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records , selling more than 22 billion cards worldwide. Gameplay In the game of trading cards players draw cards from their decks and take turns playing cards on the field. Each player uses a deck containing between forty and sixty cards and an additional extra deck of up to fifteen cards. There is also an additional fifteen side deck cards that allows players to swap cards from their main deck and/or additional deck between games. Players are limited to three of each card per deck and must follow a list of prohibited/limited cards that limits selected Konami cards to be limited to two , one or zero. Each player starts with 8000 Life Points , with the main purpose of the game to use monster attacks and spells to reduce the enemy's life points. The game ends after reaching one of the following conditions: the player loses if their life points reach zero. If both players reach zero life points at the same time , the game ends in a draw. The player loses if he is required to make a card , but he no longer has the cards to draw in the main deck. Some cards have special conditions that cause an automatic win or loss when its conditions are met (for example , having all five Exodia The Forbidden One cards in hand or all five letters of the Destiny's Board on the field) . The player can lose at any time. Card card types map design gameplay revolves around three types of cards: monster , spell , and trap cards. With a few exceptions , everyone usually possesses ATK (attack) and DEF (defense) points that are used to determine the outcome of battles , levels , with more powerful monsters requiring tribute or special call methods to call , and the types and attributes that determine how they suffer from other cards. Normal and spectacular monsters are stored in the main deck and either normal Called Once for Turn , Tribute Called by tributing existing monsters on the field , or Special Called certain card effects. Ritual monsters are stored in the deck and are summoned using the corresponding Ritual Spell card. Four other types of monsters , Fusion , Synchro , Xyz and Link , are stored in an additional deck , and each requires unique techniques that will be specifically called in the field. Fusion Monsters requires a synthesis-effect map , such as polymerization , to combine monsters. Synchro Monsters are summoned by combining monster-type tuner levels with other non-tuner monsters. Xyz Monsters , which have rank instead levels , are caused by stacking monsters with the same level , which can then ","cbCaitXHupfsOh73","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitXHupfsOh73","pdf",57196,"English","# Gameplay\n## Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck\n## Life Points and Win/Loss Conditions\n# Card Types\n## Monster Cards\n## Spell Cards\n## Trap Cards\n# Card Attributes and Zones","[{\"question\":\"How many cards are in a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck?\",\"answer\":\"A deck contains 40 to 60 cards, plus an extra deck of up to 15 cards and an optional side deck of up to 15 cards for between-game swaps.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the win and loss conditions in Yu-Gi-Oh!
