NO. 9 \nISSUE NO. 10 PAGES 40 | EMAG \nFIRST ISSUED IN 1933 \n-JULY 2026 \nInternational Day of Yoga 2026 Celebration \nEditorial \nUse the mind only when it is working fine \nThe human mind is affected with various Kleshas (structural defects) and they work quietly, \nnaturally within us. We believe we will use the mind properly, that it will not function in the \nwrong way, will never be angry or anxious, never indulge in tension. But itwill happen. As long asthe mind is working, it will do allthese things. \nSo the only solution is to stop the mind. I always tell people,“When you are worrying, stop thinking”Engage yourself in some work. Think only when the mind is in a balanced/steady state, otherwise it will think under the influence of wrongthings, which are within us. \nWe have to understand that we do have impurities within us. However much we may say we don’t have them, the Kleshas are definitely there. They are there, lying dormant within us and at times erupt in certain situations. Sometimes situations become such that even the wisest of persons succumbs to them. \nSo a strict discipline needs to be observed. Of course, to stop the mind completely is out of the question. Householders can move ahead only with the help of the mind. Complete stoppage is something which comes much later. Therefore, use the mind only when the machinery of the mind is perfect, otherwise don’t use it. \nIf we can bring about this much of discipline, then we can save ourselves from doing many wrong things \nDr. Hansaji J. Let us learn to prescribe wisdom for the mind.” \nThe remedy is simple: give attention to the problem, but do not become its permanent residence. Attend to it for a limited time, then move on to constructive action. How does one manage petitionsofthe mind? \n1.Name the Problem Clearly \nDo not wrestle with shadows . Defi ne thedifficulty in one simple sentence. \n2.Give it a Time Limit \nSpend no more than 20 minutes examining the worst-case scenario. \n3.Separate Factsfrom Imagination ","cbCaid7khxtBxNr5","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaid7khxtBxNr5","pdf",6327620,1,40,"English","en",105,"# Letters to the Editor\n## Of Petitions and Prescriptions\n# Vairagya in Action - Dr. Hansaji J.
