This Program Booklet captures the virtual events that were held to recognize the achievements of our students.  \nKEYNOTE PRESENTER  \nTARIQ AL-NASIR IS THE CEO AND FOUNDER OF STEMNASIUM LEARNING LABS.  \nAl-Nasir is a recognized thought leader and innovator in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education. Tariq is the winner of The Mind Trust’s 2016 Charter School Innovation Summit. Tariq, aka Coach T and Professor TMolecule, a former intelligence officer and U.S operative in the U.S. Armed Forces, has earned advanced degrees and certificates from MIT, NYU, Duke, Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute and Stanford. He is also fluent in Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Cantonese. Under Al-Nasir’s leadership, STEMNASIUM has experienced great results and in just 1 year, his program has expanded from 30 scholars to serving more than 1500. In 2011, STEMNASIUM’s 3rd-grade roboticsteam won an award at Drexel University for their underwater robotic design and in 2012, the 4th and 5th-grade robotics teams placed third in a regional underwater robotics event at Villanova University.
