They approached their GCSE exams with a positive attitude, and worked diligently throughout their time at Acle Academy. We are also proud of all their other achievements across the five years they have been with us and we rightly acknowledge how far they have helped contribute to the journey that the school has been on. We were delighted to be able to celebrate their achievements across the past 5 years with them during the Leavers’ Assembly and the Prom recently. \nThursday 20th August 2026-GCSE Results Day \nWe very much look forward to inviting Year 11 back to Acle Academy on Thursday 20th August, to collect their GCSE results. We would love to celebrate their hard work and we encourage as many Year 11s as possible to come into school to pick up their results in person. \nWe will be arranging to provide them with a results day breakfast and staff will also come into school to wish all pupils good luck and help them with this process. Equally, the Senior Leadership Team will be on hand to speak to pupils about any queries they might have about their results or potential post-16 next steps. \nAll Year 11 pupils have also been given the opportunity to register for the Department for Education's Education Record app. Before the examination season, pupils had their identity verified in school and, for those who have completed the registration process, their account should now be active. GCSE results will be available through the app from 11:00am on Results Day. This may be particularly helpful for any pupils who are away on holiday and unable to collect their results in person. However, wherever possible, we would strongly encourage pupils to follow the traditional approach of coming into school to collect their results. Results day is always a positive occasion, providing an opportunity to celebrate achievements with friends and staff, as well as access immediate advice, guidance and support from our team regarding post-16 destinations or any questions about their results. \nWe will be opening at 8:30am on Thursday 20th August and pupils can arrive from this time onwards to collect their results, have breakfast, and mingle and celebrate with their friends. Prom USB sticks will also be available to collect for those who attended the Prom. \nIf someone else (parent/carer/relative) is coming to collect the results for a Year 11 student, then the student must send a signed note to the office before Thursday 20th August. The results are addressed to the individual students and cannot be passed by us to anyone else, even a parent, without the permission of the Year 11 student. Results cannot be given out over the telephone, either. Please mark any envelopes given to the office as 'Results Day' so we can easily identify them amongst the summer holiday post. \nAny results not collected by midday on the day will be posted by First Class post that evening to the last address we have on record. If you have moved, or are due to move, please ensure that we have your correct address. \nPost Result Services \nFollowing results day there are a number of services available whereby we can request copies of papers, remarks or clerical re-checks. While some might be free, the cost of the chargeable services does vary by exam board. \nFor English and Maths, the school has specific criteria and thresholds which allow them to request remarks at no cost to yourself. Where results have been identified as within these thresholds the school will request and pay fora remark of the examination papers in the subject. Due to the risk that your mark could decrease as well as increase, part of the process of requesting a remark requires the completion of a form, whereby the student provides their consent. \nThe Exams officer will have details of these on results day, with t","cbCaieh5PYEuBJw3","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaieh5PYEuBJw3","pdf",138699,"English","# GCSE Results Day Arrangements\n## Invitation to Collect Results in Person\n## Education Record App Access\n## Opening Time, Breakfast, and Prom USB Sticks\n# Collection Rules and Delivery\n## Third-Party Collection Requirements\n## Envelope Marking and Telephone Restrictions\n## Uncollected Results Posting\n# Post Result Services\n## Remarks and Clerical Re-checks\n## Consent Forms and Cost Information\n# Returning Equipment and Credits\n## Revision Materials, Textbooks, Uniform Donations, Locker Keys\n## Scopay Refunds and Sibling Transfer","[{\"question\":\"When is GCSE Results Day for Year 11, and what time can pupils arrive?\",\"answer\":\"Year 11 GCSE Results Day is Thursday 20 August 2026.
