PPEs are a key component of our students' academic journey, offering a valuable opportunity for them to familiarise themselves with the examination environment and to test their understanding of their GCSE subjects. These exams play an important role in preparing our students for the actual examinations, allowing them to identify areas for improvement and refine their exam technique. \nPPE Exam Schedule: \nThe PPEs are scheduled to take place from 5 February to 9 February. A detailed timetable which includes seating, will be shared with students via the Brom-com app in the coming weeks. \nRevision Resources: \nTo support students in preparing for these examinations, we have compiled a list of revision resources, which can be found below. These resources include: \n• Personal Learning Checklists (PLCs) \nEach department has created a personal learning checklist for the Year 10 PPEs. The PLC is a detailed list of topics, which allows students to identify the areas where they feel that they have a strong level of understanding versus those topics where they are potentially weaker. We recommend that students start their revision in each subject by completing the PLC (Copies can be found on the attached document ( Here) and on individual google classrooms) . They should then focus their attention on the topics they do not understand, using revision resources to build up their confidence. \n• Online Textbooks and Class Notes: Textbooks and class notes are a valuable resource for revisiting key concepts and theories, as well as developing flashcards and other revision prompts. \n• Online Learning Platforms: Encourage your child to explore reputable online learning platforms such as SPARX math's, BBC Bitesize and Seneca Learning that offer interactive lessons, practice tests, and explanatory videos related to their subjects. \n• Revision Guides and Workbooks can be purchased and can provide extra structure and revision activities. \n• Past Exam Papers: Past exam papers are excellent tools for familiarising students with the exam format and style of questioning. These can be obtained from the exam board websites. \n• Google Classroom: All subjects have a dedicated google classroom page that offers additional resources. These can be incredibly valuable for targeted revision. \nSubject Specific Recommendations: \n\n| English | English Revision Google Classroom:\u003Cbr>[[https://classroom.google.com/c/MTY0NTI1OTM5NzAy?cjc=na3q3qe](https://classroom.google.com/c/MTY0NTI1OTM5NzAy?cjc=na3q3qe)]\u003Cbr>Includes: Targeted materials, links to past papers, suggested revision planners, and detailed exam question guidance.
