The WSD Standard Drawings are intended to give guidance on suitable design details and for direct reference in waterworks contracts. Waterworks include mainlaying, pumping stations, service reservoirs, water treatment works and associated works. \n2. The WSD Standard Drawings are divided into seven sections contained in three volumes covering standard design details for various aspects of waterworks as follows:- \nVolume I : Section 1 – Mainlaying \nVolume II : Section 2 – Pumping station \nSection 3 – Service reservoir \nSection 4 – Treatment works \nVolume III : Section 5 – Access road \nSection 6 – Security measures \nSection 7 – General \n3. The WSD Standard Drawings form part of the Design Division’s quality documentation complying with the requirements of the ISO 9001 : 2015 quality management system standard. Controlled copies are issued in accordance with a distribution list maintained by the Senior Technical Officer (Civil) / Library. \n4. When used in tender documentation, the WSD Standard Drawings should be read in conjunction with the General Specification for Civil Engineering Works (2020 Edition) . Users are advised to review the suitability of the drawings they intend to use before incorporating them into the tender and should note that certain drawings require dimensions to be specified as appropriate in the tender drawings, particular specification or bills of quantities. \n5. Revised standard drawings are issued from time to time. It is always necessary to refer to the latest revised edition for the most up-to-date information. A number of controlled copies are kept in the Design Division’s Document Control Centre whilst the drawings are also available as read-only files in WSD’s homepage in the Internet at \n[https://www.wsd.gov.hk/en/publications-and-statistics/guidelines-reports-drawings](https://www.wsd.gov.hk/en/publications-and-statistics/guidelines-reports-drawings)specifications/standard-drawings/index.html \n6. Comments on the WSD Standard Drawings or suggestions for improvement should be addressed to the Chief Engineer / Design, who is responsible for updating the drawings in light of improvement in design standards and feedback from users. \nWSD Standard Drawings Page 1 of 1 Updated : 22/2/2024 \n-Notes","cbCaiacs35GfGJLc","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiacs35GfGJLc","pdf",116314,"English","# Purpose and scope\n## Waterworks contract reference\n# Structure of the standard drawings\n## Seven sections in three volumes\n# Quality and document control\n## ISO 9001:2015 compliance\n# Use in tender documentation\n## Read with 2020 general specification\n# Revisions and how to obtain access\n## Latest revised edition and controlled copies\n# Feedback and updates\n## Address comments to Chief Engineer / Design","[{\"question\":\"What are the WSD Standard Drawings intended for?\",\"answer\":\"They provide guidance on suitable design details and are used as direct reference material in waterworks contracts.\"},{\"question\":\"How are the standard drawings organized?\",\"answer\":\"They are divided into seven sections across three volumes: Volume I covers Sections 1–4, Volume II covers Sections 2–4, and Volume III covers Sections 5–7.\"},{\"question\":\"What should users do when incorporating the drawings into tender documentation?\",\"answer\":\"Users should read the drawings together with the General Specification for Civil Engineering Works (2020 Edition) and review which drawings require dimensions to be specified in the tender drawings or related documents.\"}]","WSD Standard Drawings - Document Notes - Updated 22/2/2024 | PDF"]
