The ones in this pack are compatible with the word families in the BOB Books Rhyming Words Set. There is also a blank template on pg. 12 if you’d like to create your own word search activity with another book.  \n• Read the text with your child.  \nGo on a Word Search  \n• After reading (it might be on the same day or on a subsequent day), ask the child to look through the book words that fit the word family pattern at the top of the page (Picture Key: van, jam, hen, sled, drip, pin, dog, pot, puff, & rug) .  \n• We used our re-reading eyes (a.k.a. “new eyes”) as a pointer to add some fun. You can find that free printable here.  \n• When a word is found that matches the word family pattern, ask your child to write it in the chart.  \n• Go through the entire book, looking for more words.  \n• Once all the words have been found, see if you can think of more words that would fit into that word family together.
