Results Day \ni) Collecting Exam Results \nCandidates must collect their examination results from their school or college (centre) , usually on the published Results Day. \nFor the January 2021 series, the publication of results day is Thursday 4 March 2021 \nSchools and colleges should inform all candidates of the arrangements for obtaining their results and with which members of school or college staff they should discuss any results queries or concerns. It may be necessary for arrangements to be different to those in previous years, and these arrangements will need to take account of the latest government advice foryour area. \nWJEC is unable to provide or discuss results over the telephone or via email communication with candidates or parents, even if the school or college is closed. Candidates should, therefore, check with their school or college when and where results will be available for collection and how and with whom they can discuss any issues or concerns. \nii) What to expect \nOn Results Day, candidates normally receive a results slip showing their results. If qualifications have been taken with different exam boards, candidates may receive more than one results slip, or the school or college may create one single slip showing all results together. \nAt this point , results are designated as provisional; changes may be made at a later point, for example, following a Review of Marking or Moderation. \niii) How are results displayed on a results slip? \nResults slips will show candidate results for the subjects taken within that examination series. Results will be presented differently depending on whether the qualification is unitised or linear. See section 2 below. \nFor unitised qualifications, results will display an overall UMS mark and grade for the subject , provided that the subject has been cashed-in for aggregation, as well as a uniform mark (UMS) and a grade for each unit. If an overall grade is expected but not included on the results slip, the Exams Officer at the centre should be contacted to check that a cash-in entry has been made. \nFor linear qualifications, results will display the overall grade for the subject. The mark for individual components will also be displayed. \niv) Symbols used on a results slip \nIn addition to grades and marks, results slips may also contain other symbols: \nX indicates","cbCaijG6VSw7oT7l","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaijG6VSw7oT7l","pdf",278279,"English","# Results Day\n## Collecting Exam Results\n## What to expect\n## How are results displayed on a results slip?\n## Symbols used on a results slip\n# Understanding your results\n## Explaining grades\n## Explaining marks\n## How are marks converted into grades\n# Grade Boundaries\n# What to do if a candidate wants to query a result\n# When are certificates available?\n# Appendix 1 – Example results slip","[{\"question\":\"When are the January 2021 WJEC results published?\",\"answer\":\"For the January 2021 series, results day is Thursday 4 March 2021.
