The story, originally adapted from \"Mbani anafuna kundiphedza?\" by Léonie Dieleman, follows Kokorako, a chicken, who seeks help from her friends – a pig, a dog, and a rat – to plant and harvest corn. Each friend is too lazy to assist Kokorako. Undeterred, Kokorako undertakes the tasks herself, illustrating themes of self-reliance, perseverance, and the consequences of laziness.
