During such times,people may lose their liives. What should you do in case of a fire?  \nKnow where the fire exists and fire alarms are located  \nLook for the fire exists and fire alarms while you are calm,so that you will know exactly where to go. You will find that the fire exits are located near the washroomsand the fire alarms are in the lobby lift and the emergency stairs.  \nDo not panic  \nPanicking is the single largest cause of death during an emergency. Do not push orshove and do not run. By remaining calm and collected, you will not only be keeping yourself safe but you will also be able to assist others.  \nDo not use the lifts  \nIf you are on upper floors,do not use the lifts. In the event of a fire or emergency,the lifts will be disabled and you risk being trapped if you use them. Once trapped iside the lift,there is no guarantee that anyone will be able to assist you.  \nShould the fire alarm bells sound,proceed directly to the emergency fire stairs and then go to ground floor.  \nRemove high-heeled shoes  \nIf you are wearing uncomfortable or high-heeled shoes,please remove them before you use the emergency stairs. This will make it easier for you to move down the stair,making it safer for you and others following you.  \nSmoke  \nIf you have to pass through a smoke-filled room,cover your face and nose a cloth-wet if possible-and crawl at floor level. Get down low and go!  \nKnow your assembly point  \nMake sure you know were you are supposed to assemble or meet after you left the building. This is a very important stage in moving everyoneaway from danger.  \nDo not go away once you have left the building. Make sure the people you were with,for instance your parents,know that you have reached the assembly point safely.
