Aliens! Space Travel! Space Pirates tells the story of Gabby, a kid who gets picked on during a school trip to the museum. Everything changes quickly when an alien spaceship accidentally beams Gabby and her classmates into outer space. Things go from bad to worse when SPACE PIRATES suddenly attack the alien spaceship! It’s only after this whirlwind space adventure that Gabby becomes comfortable in her own skin, and her classmates appreciate her for who she is.  \nAuditions: Auditions will take place during our second class on January 14. Students will learn everything they need to know during our first class together. Students should be prepared to sing “Always on the Outside” from the beginning to the 25-second mark using the karaoke track found on the class Google Drive.  \nActors should also be prepared to read a line or two from the character they are auditioning for. This can be read from the script or memorized. For example, if an actor is auditioning for Gabby, he/she should be prepared to read or say one of Gabby’s longer lines from the show.  \nAlthough all performers are encouraged to audition in some way, we also realize that some kids may be more interested in observing rather than singing or speaking alone.
