By now you all know I love getting to write these little notes and letters to you all at the beginning of my books-makes it fun to connect with everyone and give you all a little insight into my design process and what we do here at Daylight Publications. \nSo, another series, Cam? Really? Don't you have enough? Simple answer is no, I always got ideas going and going and going in my brain. So, this one was no exception. The origin ofthe series started when I was looking over some old art that I got commissioned of custom magic items for an Eldraine campaign I was running a few months ago, trying to think what I could use them for since the campaign ended. And then it hit me. \nItem books are always fun, and I have yet to do one of those up! So, it seemed logical to create one! My friend Laura jumped on board, and so, here is the first title in the series, bringing the fairy tale and fey flavor from MTG into the mainstream Feywild. These weapons would be at home in any setting really, but especially if you are running some games in Witchlight! \nEnjoy! \nCam \n2 \nLunar Righteousness \nOrigins of the arm \nThis bardiche ax is shaped almost in a perfect crescent, save for the large notch \nabout a third ofthe way down the blade, and is covered in beautiful acid etchings to \nlook like a rosebush rising to wrap around the moon and hold it. The back spike is \nmade to look like a barn owl in flight. It is believed that this was once wielded by the \nDuchess Eglantine Tyto of the Lunar Court, a well-known and well-respected owlin \npaladin who served under the Moonmother for centuries until her death at the hand \nof assassins. \nTo the party \nZkorsov has its beginnings in the Domain ofMoonlight, an ancient and \nesoteric domain full of chthonic rituals and ancient stone circles dedicated to \nits ruler: the Moonmother. Her youth and beauty waxes and wanes with the \ncycles ofthe moon, as does her mood and personality. Perhaps the group \nruns into a thiefwho is attempting to steal the ax from the old haunts ofthe \nlong disappeared Lunar Order in an attempt to sell it, or perhaps \nit mysteriously appeared in the Material Plane during a Lunar Equinox, \nand now the Moonmother has sent some of her special forces to hunt \ndown the artifact that belonged to one of her greatest warriors. \nThe Arm Itself \nZkorsoV \nAx head: 2d8 slashing and 1d6 radiant damage \nBack spike: 1d6 piercing damage and 1d4 radiant damage \nAlternatively, as a bonus action, you can make a nonlethal attack with the butt of the ax against a target within your reach. \n3 \nOrigins of the arm \nThis beautifully crafted rapier is made in a beautiful ladder pattern Damascus with an elaborate wire basket hilt, made to look like rose vines and buds. The basket is bade from brass wire and small oynx stones for the roses, while the hilt is wrapped in a heavy inky leather. The pommel is also sculpted to look like a rosebud. The blade seems to sing when swung and thrust, radiating with an almost addictive flavor.
