The Panel includes some of Canada’s most accomplished city-building professionals; together, they seek to engage designers, developers, and government agencies in a public dialogue about the future of our city. Everyone who participates in the design review process helps contribute to Toronto’s evolution as a centre of progressive urbanism, sustainability and design excellence. \nLand Acknowledgement \nThe Waterfront Design Review Panel acknowledges that the land and water upon which weare all designing and building has been for thousands of years the traditional territory of \nmany nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to diverse First Nations, Inuit and Metis people. The Panel is committed to promoting architectural and landscape designs that are respectful of the land and water and in harmony with the natural world around them. The Panel also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. \nMandate \nThe Panel strives to add value to every project by providing expert advice that is professional, fair, and constructive. Its role is to promote design excellence, improve environment performance, and ensure a cohesive approach to waterfront revitalization. \nDesign Review Panel.
