Your thrall is an undead of Challenge Rating ¼ or lower. At the end of the 8 hours, your undead thrall rises and gains all the benefits of your Bound Thrall ability. You can have only one undead thrall at a time.  \nIf your undead thrall is ever slain, the unnatural bond you share allows you to return it to life. With 8 hours of work and the expenditure of 25 gp worth of rare spell ingredients, you call forth your thrall’s necromantic energies and use your magic to create a new body for it. You can return an undead thrall to unlife in this manner even if you do not possess any part ofits body.  \nIf you use this ability to return a former undead thrall to unlife while you have a current undead thrall, your current thrall leaves you and is replaced by the restored thrall.  \nBound Thrall  \nYour undead thrall gains a variety of benefits while it is linked to you.  \nThe undead thrall loses its Multiattack action, if it has one and has its hit dice reduced to 1 die, if it had more than one. It now receives the maximum die result for that hit dice.  \nThe thrall obeys your commands as best it can. It rolls for initiative like any other creature, but you determine its actions, decisions, attitudes, and soon. If you are incapacitated or absent, your thrall acts on its own, but remains friendly toward you and your allies.  \nKeeping Track of Proficiency  \nWhen you gain your undead thrall at 1st level, its proficiency bonus matches yours at +2. As you gain levels and increase your proficiency bonus, remember that your thrall’s proficiency bonus improves as well, and is applied to the following areas: Armor Class, skills, saving throws, attack bonus, and damage rolls.  \nYour undead thrall has abilities and game statistics determined in part by your level. Your thrall uses your proficiency bonus rather than its own. In addition to the areas where it normally uses its proficiency bonus, an undead thrall also adds its proficiency bonus to its AC and to its damage rolls.  \nYour undead thrall gains proficiency in two skills of your choice. It also becomes proficient with all saving throws.  \nFor each level you gain after 1st, your undead thrall gains an additional hit die and increases its hit points accordingly. You can choose to roll its hit points or take the average for its hit dice. Whenever you gain the Ability Score Improvement class feature, your thrall’s abilities also improve. Your thrall can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or it can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1.
