The narrative compares lion versus spider through leg counts (4 vs 8, then extensions using family totals) to show proportional reasoning and repeated group thinking. Comprehension questions test understanding of the character decisions and fairness logic, while math exercises connect the story scenario to multiplication problems and number sentences.","Wăng Wăi Laih Anŭn Lu Tơkai \nSpider and the Many Legs \nJarai, English Math \nWăng Wăi Laih Anŭn Lu Tơkai Spider and the Many Legs \nImages by © 2017 FHI 360. But one day, Spider, the smallest animal in the kingdom, decided she was tired of always receiving the least. She presented herself before the king. \n“Oh great king,” she said.“I know that you are very wise, and yet you do not take what is due to you. This way, at least you will receive the same as Elephant.” \nLion was impressed with Spider’s solution and changed the law. Soon, however, he realized the Spider had 8 legs while he only had 4. Therefore, Spider was receiving twice as much food. Lion summoned Spider again. \n“Spider,” said Lion.“Do you really think it is fair that a spider should receive twice as much food as a lion?” \n“That is true,” said Spider.“That is not fair.
