The Virginia Family Nutrition Program consists of two statewide nutrition education programs: the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), funded by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) and the Virginia Department of Social Services.
The Virginia Family Nutrition Program provides nutrition education programs to eligible adults and youth with low incomes by Nutrition Education Facilitators located around the state.
SNAP-Ed Agents within the Virginia Family Nutrition Program also offer training and support to volunteers to teach nutrition (primarily in Head Starts and schools) and help facilitate policy, system, and environmental changes to increase access to low-cost, nutritious foods and affordable physical activity opportunities within high poverty areas. Many Virginia Family Nutrition Program employees provide state or district coordination and leadership of different programs and initiatives.
This is a directory of Virginia Family Nutrition Program employees who offer or coordinate programming in communities. The directory does not include other Family Nutrition Program employees who support programming activities and other Virginia Cooperative Extension Agents and employees.
Last Updated March 8, 2024

| | | | Eat Smart Move More
Virginia Cooperative Extension Family Nutrition Program
[www.eatsmartmovemoreva.org](www.eatsmartmovemoreva.org)
|
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [www.ext.vt.edu](www.ext.vt.edu) | | | |

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
