This handbook will primarily provide information on the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM) curriculum at Coburg High School across Year 11 and Year 12 in 2026. Information regarding the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) will also be provided; however, students and families should note this is a specialised course for eligible students who have been approved by the Senior Student Support Team at CHS. The remaining introductory pages will outline the VCE, VCE VM and VPC programs at CHS for 2026. \nSTAYING AT SCHOOL FOR YEARS 11 & 12 \nVICTORIAN CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION (VCE) \nA VCE program is ideal if you are considering a pathway to university or TAFE. A VCE program is designed to be undertaken over a minimum period of two years. Each subject offered at VCE is broken up into four semester-long units.
