Each resource has been designed to be a discrete learning task that can be completed by students in approximately 1-1.5 hours. \nResources can be downloaded in two different file formats: Digital (Word docx) or Printable (pdf). All LINKS in this document can be accessed by pressing CTRL and clicking on link. \nFitness Components \nThis task is designed to focus on Fitness Components and Training content in VCE PE Unit 3. The resource will guide you through a short exercise circuit with exercise instructions from Collingwood Magpies netball captain Madison Browne. Madison has used her knowledge of the human anatomy, fitness components and training to ensure she is able to prepare herself for the sport of Netball. \nWORKSHEET VIDEO \nLactate and Fatigue \nThis task provides students with real world data collected from a lactate test supervised by the BioLAB and Deakin staff. The resource will allow students to revise and apply their knowledge of metabolic by-products with real athlete data and graphs. \nWORKSHEET DATA \nPerformance Enhancement \nThis task will explore the different ways athletes enhance their cardiorespiratory system using legal and illegal methods. \nWhether we look at an elite cyclist training for the Tour De France or a person rehabilitating from cardiac surgery, both are using methods to achieve the same goal: optimal performance of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems \nWORKSHEET \nResources compiled with the support of the following industry partners: \nVCE Physical Education \nOnline Lessons \nThese online lessons are a little more comprehensive and have been designed to address specific outcomes and key knowledge areas within the identified unit of study. \nMany of these resources have been designed to be easily uploaded to your school learning management system (Compass or similar) and downloaded by students. \nMetabolic Madness Online \nTo understand respiratory gas exchange and fuel utilisation in the human body. \n\n| Lesson Links |\n| --- |\n| Pre Task worksheet |\n| Metabolic Madness lesson video |\n| Athlete data excel spreadsheet |\n| Student workbook |\n| Post task worksheet |\n| Research articles-Animal Vs Humans, Cycling & Energy. |\n\nEye in the Sky Online \nTo understand how data collected using technology can improve performance. \n\n| Resource Links |\n| --- |\n| Eye in the Sky lesson video |\n| Team GPS data |\n| Team analysis workbook |\n| Individual GPS reports |\n| Individual athlete workbook |\n\nResources compiled with the support of the following industry partners: \nVCE Physical Education \nPodcasts \nBioLAB have created a series of podcasts that focus on difficult concepts in the VCE curriculum. These podcasts are designed for VCE Physical Education students and teachers who want to revise their understanding of key concepts. \nNutrition & Hydration for Performance with Geelong Cats player Harry Taylor \nIn this podcast, our first guest of the series, long-time BioLAB ambassador and Geelong Football Club legend Harry Taylor, gives us a detailed insight into the nutrition & hydration strategies that he and the football club use for optimal performance and recovery. We talk about what fuelling an AFL player before, during and after a game entails, what happens when you get it wrong, how Harry prepared his body for AFL, managing hydration and some advice on career pathways. LISTEN WATCH \nLactate and Lactate Inflection Point \nIn this episode, we will be discussing the key differences between lactic acid and lactate, what lactate threshold and lactate inflection point means and what to look for in a graph. \nThis is relevant for both Unit’s 3 and 4 for VCE PE,","cbCaidTE5XjwtiVv","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaidTE5XjwtiVv","pdf",250080,"English","# Online Resources Overview\n## Fitness Components\n## Lactate and Fatigue\n## Performance Enhancement\n# Online Lessons\n## Metabolic Madness\n## Eye in the Sky\n# Podcasts\n## Nutrition & Hydration for Performance\n## Lactate and Lactate Inflection Point\n## Innovative Technology in Sport\n## Energy Systems\n## Exercise and Brain Health","[{\"question\":\"What formats are available for downloading these VCE PE resources?\",\"answer\":\"Resources can be downloaded in Digital (Word docx) or Printable (pdf) formats.
