VCE VM students can include other VCE studies and VET units as part of their VCE VM program, including Structured Workplace Learning Recognition for VET. \nThe VCE is normally completed over 2 years; however, students may accumulate units over any number of years. Most students will undertake 16–20 units over a period of 2 years. \nEach VCE unit involves at least 50 hours of scheduled classroom instruction. Students also undertake up to 50 hours of self-directed learning for each unit. \nSatisfactory Completion of VCE Units \nTo satisfactorily complete a VCE unit ( including VCE VM units ) , a student must demonstrate that they have achieved the set of outcomes as specified in the relevant study design. The decision about satisfactory completion of outcomes of a unit is entirely the decision of the school. It is based on the teacher’s holistic judgement of the student’s overall performance in a combination of set work ( learning activities) and assessment tasks ( including school-based assessments ) for each of the outcomes in th","cbCaiiibwfNsFcf5","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiiibwfNsFcf5","pdf",1108266,39,"English","# About the VCE\n## Satisfactory completion of VCE\n## Eligibility for VCE\n# Satisfactory completion of VCE units\n## Satisfactory VCE unit result\n## Not Satisfactory VCE unit result\n# Planning/ policy documents\n# Assessment records\n## Attendance records\n## Assessment\n## Student attendance\n## Year 11 & 12 exams\n## Use of generative artificial intelligence\n## Authentication\n## Special Provision\n## SATs\n## Assessment & Mobile phones and other electronic devices\n## School based Assessment Breaches of rules & investigations\n## Maintenance of school records\n## Retention of school assessed coursework\n## Lost, Stolen or damaged work\n## Important Dates","[{\"question\":\"What are the two study options within the VCE in 2026?\",\"answer\":\"Students can choose the VCE (with school-based and external assessments that can contribute to ATAR) or VCE VM (a vocational and applied learning program using school-based assessments that do not provide a study score toward ATAR).\"},{\"question\":\"What does a student need to do to satisfactorily complete a VCE unit?\",\"answer\":\"A student must demonstrate achievement of the set outcomes in the relevant study design.
