Tasks  \nThe driver will receive his/her tasks from the (assistant) Defence Attaché and when not needed by the DEFAT department he/she will receive tasks from the Embassies expedition manager.  \nMain Tasks  \n􀁸 Transport members of the DEFAT department, guests, goods and materials of DEFAT department in a safe, on time and comfortable manner;  \n􀁸 Assists with loading and unloading luggage;  \n􀁸 Plans and prepares driving assignments independently regarding traffic legislation, the best possible routes, save and convenient (over-night) travelling and security considerations;  \n􀁸 Adjusts the route to avoid heavy traffic, flooding or road constructions where possible;  \n􀁸 Ensures that the DEFAT car is always presentable and ready to be driven;  \n􀁸 Ensures that regular maintenance is carried out at the intervals stipulated by the manufacturer/dealer and advises on the need to carry out minor maintenance and/ or repairs at other times;  \n􀁸 Working flexible hours, including public holydays if the service requires this.  \nResults to be Achieved  \n􀁸 Passengers reach their destination safely, comfortable and on time;  \n􀁸 The DEFAT car is well maintained and in excellent running condition;  \n􀁸 The interior and exterior of the embassy vehicle is clean.  \nWorking Experience and Knowledge  \n􀁸 A commercial driving license;  \n􀁸 Thorough knowledge of traffic rules;  \n􀁸 Familiar with the layout of the greater Jakarta area;  \n􀁸 Knowledge of car maintenance and small repairs;  \n􀁸 At least five years’ driving experience driving;  \n􀁸 Excellent driving skills and driving record;  \n􀁸 Experience in driving in a motorcade;  \n􀁸 Previous experience with either diplomatic or international organization;  \n􀁸 Basic knowledge of English or Dutch Language.  \nCompetencies Required  \n􀁸 Client focused; service oriented;  \n􀁸 Stress resistant;  \n􀁸 Team player;  \n􀁸 Intercultural sensitivity;  \n􀁸 Organizational sensitivity;  \n􀁸 Integrity.  \nC. Working Environment  \nAround 75 (including 17 expats) colleagues work at the embassy; daily we have several visitors at the embassy. Besides the Embassy also NufficNeso, Erasmus Training Centre and KITLV are situated inside the compound.  \nYou are employed within the Defence Department, employing one attaché (expat) and one or more locally recruited employee(s). You will directly report to the (assistant) Defence Attaché whilst keeping the expedition manager fully informed and vice versa.  \nThe Defence Department is responsible for the military-military relation between the Netherlands and Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Those relations include, policy, training, logistics and military trade. As such members of the Defence Department need to attend frequent meetings either in country of abroad, accompany incoming delegations.
