The newsletter also outlines End of Year activities, attendance support and resilience encouragement, and provides a detailed Key Dates calendar. Additional school highlights include robotics, Spirit Week, athletics, VCE VM celebrations, maths extension, and Year 9 City Experience.","Newsletter | Issue No 8 \n13th November 2025 \nUYSC \n[uysc.vic.edu.au](uysc.vic.edu.au) \n81-89 Little Yarra Road, Yarra Junction \nP (03) 5967 1877 Absence Notification SMS 0477 391 484 \n24/7 \nFinal Days for Year Twelves \nCongratulations to our wonderful Year 12 students as they complete their secondary schooling. Our departing class of 2025 have been amazing young people andwill certainly enhance the future. Students have been taking their exams very seriously and it has been nice to still see them around the College. With most exams complete now the waiting game for results begins, fingers crossed their results reflect their effort. We wish them a very safe experience on ‘schoolies’. \nExams and Orientation \nBefore too long the rest of the school will follow suit and undertake their end of year and end of semester exams. A gentle reminder, it’s never too late to study! Next week Year \n10 and Year 11 students will undertake orientation of their 2026 subjects and begin the coursework. In particular our Year 11 students should be aware that the work started and set this year is an essential element of the requirements of VCE and VCE VM. \nEnd of Year Activities \nInformation will be sent home in the coming weeks regarding the End of Year Program. This year the eight-day program will commence after both the End of Year Award ceremonies, where we will recognise students for their academic success and endeavour (effort), and our whole year level Celebration Days which celebrate the conclusion of the formal school year. \nEvery Day Counts \nAll year we have kept track of student attendance and endeavoured to keep you more informed. We have sent end of term attendance letters, we now notify parents much earlier in the day if your child is absent, and try to support students to attend school. There are of course unavoidable absences; however, I encourage students to show the school value of‘resilience’ and attend school as often as possible. The school has a wide variety of supports in the classroom to facilitate learning; in short, being in class makes learning easier. \nKey Dates \nFriday 14th November to Thursday 20th November \nYear 11 Exams \nTuesday 18th November to Friday 21st November \nYear 7/8/9 Exams \nMonday 24th November to Friday 28th November \nYear 10 Exams \nMonday 24th November to Friday 5th December \nUnit 3&4 Orientation \nTuesday 25th November \nYear 12 Valedictory Dinner \nMonday 1st December to Friday 5th December \nUnit 1&2 Orientation \nFriday 5th December \nYear 7/8/9/10/11 Awards Day \nMonday 8th December \nEnd of Year Program Begins \nTuesday 9th December \nGrade 6 Orientation Day \nThursday 11th December \nVCE Results andATAR Released \nThursday 18th December \nLast Day of Term 4 \n3.05pm Finish \nYRTS ROBOTICS \nUpper Yarra Secondary College respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Victoria and pays respect to the ongoing living cultures of First Peoples. \nSpirit Week \nDRESS AS YOUR YOUNGER SELF \nYear 9 Coaching-Primary Athletics \nYear 9 Coaching students did a stellar job to ensure the Eastern Metropolitan Primary Athletics was a successful event. \nMitchell Gray Health & PE \nThe VCE Vocational Major Graduation Lunch was the perfect way for our \nYear 12 students to celebrate the end of a long journey and the start of an exciting new one. This beautiful event (planned, prepared, and delivered entirely by the students) showcased the real-world readiness and teamwork \nskills that have been the hallmark of their two-year VM program. \nIt was a day for gratitude and reflection, where we acknowledged the culmination of 13 years of schooling. Seeing the students reflect on their journey and articulate their future career pathways fills me with immense pride. So much of our focus in VCEVM is on building successful future pathways, and I know each of them is now well-equipped to step confidently into their chosen fields. \nCongratulations, Year 12 VCE VM!
