It cost 25¢ and was good until revoked. It was printed in blue on white paper. \n􀁸 The application card was 6” x 3½” and only asked for name, address, brief description, a few questions and a signature. \n􀁸 No examination was given until January 1935, when the eye test, written test, and an occasional road test was given. \n􀁸 The ‘good-until-revoked’ licenses were issued until December 31, 1935. \n􀁸 Beginning January 1, 1936, the law was changed to have the license expire three years after issuance (not on the birthdate. ) The fee was still 25¢. \n􀁸 One of the biggest changes came in 1951 when the Bureau of Driver License Services moved from the State Tax Commission and became an agency within the Department of Public Safety. \n􀁸 In 1980, the state decided to reward ‘good drivers’ by developing a system for the application to renew their license through the mail. Services became a full-fledged Division and renamed the Driver License Division. \n􀁸 The Division began issuing a commercial driver license in 1989. \n􀁸 The Division began offering more online services including MVR’s and appointments. \n􀁸 In January 2010, the Division and the Citizens of Utah started a 5-year process that required all Utah drivers had to bring in their identification documents once again. This process was a beginning step to meet the Licensing practices for the Federal Real ID Act. \n􀁸 January 2010, the Division suspended the Renewal By Mail Program. \n􀁸 February 13,","cbCaik3cKPHhMcPK","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaik3cKPHhMcPK","pdf",3483771,172,"English","# SECTION 1-YOUR DRIVER LICENSE\n## About This Manual\n## Definitions","[{\"question\":\"What does the Utah Driver License Handbook cover for road users?\",\"answer\":\"It provides the rules to follow when operating any vehicle on Utah roads and states that bicycle operators must obey the same rules and have the same rights and duties.\"},{\"question\":\"What services are provided by the Utah Driver License Division?\",\"answer\":\"Services include issuing driver license and driving privilege cards, photo identification cards, obtaining Utah driving records, handling license denials/suspensions/revocations and reinstatements, and taking driver review exams, along with voter registration and organ donor registration.\"},{\"question\":\"What safety statistics does the handbook include?\",\"answer\":\"It lists the top five leading causes of death and crashes on Utah highways, including separate figures for teenagers, based on 2013 statistics from the Highway Safety office.\"}]","Utah Driver License Handbook - 2015 | PDF",1790665034,433]
