The barbs have been slung on the campaign trail and during debates, where policy discussions have frequently taken a backseat to more attention-grabbing bickering. \nAn insult-heavy style can serve multiple purposes for candidates, strategists told USA TODAY. But there also is a risk of coming off as forced or turning off some voters, specifically Democratic women, she said. \n“I generally hate it,” said Legacki, who previously worked with the campaign of one of El-Sayed’s primary \nSee INSULTS, Page 3A \nQIJFAF-01005z(O)N \n©COPYRIGHT 2026 USA TODAY, A division of USA TODAY Co., Inc. \nHOME DELIVERY \n1-800-872-0001, USATODAYSERVICE.COM \nCuba’s elderly are being left behind \nAmid an exodus from the island, Catholic Church fills the gaps \nSister Cecilia María Fuentes Ávila, a Catholic nun, runs the San Francisco de Paula Home for Elderly Women in central Havana.
