UHS allows students to earn college credit, at a reduced rate, for a college-level course they take at their high school. The mission of the UHS Program is to help bridge the gap between high school and college-level study. The success of our program is based on the collaborative efforts between the FSC and high school instructors, principals, and school counselors. \nThe UHS Program started in 1998 with one high school. The UHS Program has grown consistently over the years, and we now have partnerships with over 100 high schools. Over 6,000 students receive FSC college credit through UHS each year. \nFarmingdale State College (FSC) was awarded accreditation by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) in May 2020. NACEP’s standards serve as the model criteria for ensuring parity in faculty, course content, student outcomes, and support. Receiving NACEP accreditation means an institution has met the nation’s most rigorous standard in concurrent enrollment program development, management, and evaluation across multiple, multifaceted program areas. NACEP accreditation distinguishes UHS as oneof the nation’s leading concurrent enrollment programs. \nThere are many benefits to participating i","cbCaioJKTBWQcIEZ","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaioJKTBWQcIEZ","pdf",1828867,16,"English","# Welcome Letter\n# University in the High School Program Description\n# NACEP Accreditation\n# Faculty Liaison Responsibilities\n# UHS Instructors\n# Instructor Course-Specific Training\n# Syllabi & Textbooks\n# Site Visits\n# Professional Development\n# Extra Service\n# Compensation\n# Advisory Board\n# Policies\n# Appendices A-C","[{\"question\":\"What is the University in the High School (UHS) program?\",\"answer\":\"UHS is Farmingdale State College’s concurrent enrollment program that lets qualified high school students earn college credit for approved courses taught at their school by college-approved high school teachers.\"},{\"question\":\"How does UHS support students transitioning from high school to college?\",\"answer\":\"UHS is designed to help bridge the gap between high school and college-level study, with success driven by collaboration among FSC and high school instructors, principals, and school counselors.\"},{\"question\":\"Why is NACEP accreditation important for UHS?\",\"answer\":\"Farmingdale State College received NACEP accreditation, and NACEP standards serve as the model criteria to ensure parity in faculty, course content, student outcomes, and support across concurrent enrollment areas.\"}]","UNIVERSITY IN THE HIGH SCHOOL CHAIR AND FACULTY LIAISON HANDBOOK 2024-2025 | PDF",1791008286]
