The United States history exam is a rigorous assessment of a candidate’s knowledge of the history of the United States from the discovery and settlement of the New World to contemporary America. The exam covers political, social, and military history. \nUse a U.S. History survey text \nThe American Past, one of the anchor texts used to develop the exam, is recommended as your survey text. If you have another survey book from college, or you have access to a different text from your library, that is perfectly fine. It is important that you have access to a survey book because it will cover, in part, the various domains of the exam. \nAmerican Board’s Standards Stepwise Method \nThe right way to get started: using the Standards as your syllabus \nYour Self Assessment is a summary of the standards; by doing it, you have identified which ones need the most attention. The Standards are your study lifeline; you can find them on your MyAccount page. Throughout the course of your study you will learn all of them. How to begin? Here is American Board’s Standards Stepwise method: \nDomain 1: Instructional Design \nTopic 1: Selects, Organizes, Plans, and Designs Content \n1.1.01 \nWrites measurable objectives for both individual or classroom performance based on student data and subject matter. \n\n| | |\n| --- | --- |\n\n\n| 1.1.02 | Guides curricular planning (e.g. , content clusters,\u003Cbr>instructional methods, learning activities and assessment |\n| --- | --- |\n\n\n| | central concepts, |\n| --- | --- |\n\n\n| 1.1.04 | co","cbCaic6RZx9FZSwz","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaic6RZx9FZSwz","pdf",493906,"English","# About Your Study Plan\n# How to Study\n# Your Materials\n## Standards and Study Plan\n## Cracking the AP U.S. History Exam\n# United States History Exam Snapshot\n# About This Exam\n# American Board’s Standards Stepwise Method\n## Domain 1: Instructional Design\n## Topic 1: Selects, Organizes, Plans, and Designs Content","[{\"question\":\"What is the exam format and time limit in the snapshot?\",\"answer\":\"The exam is multiple-choice with 240 minutes allowed and 125 questions.
