They welcomed the partnership with AIIB and IsDB through cofinancing of this highly relevant project.  \nDirectors noted a strong development rationale for the operation at the national, sub-national, and regional levels. They appreciated the project’s engineering and construction approach, highlighting its focus on signalizing and electrifying the line, enhancing resilience to natural hazards, and significantly increasing cargo capacity.  \nDirectors noted the importance of this investment for job creation and better connectivity between eastern and western provinces thus contributing to subnational economic convergence.
