to introduce the theoretical side.  \nTo the uninitiated we advise that major repairs such as engine andgearbox unit and telescopic fork overhauls are entrusted to aTriumph Dealer who will have the necessary facilities to carry outthis type of work.  \nEach section of the book is headed by a general description.It isthen followed by a complete account of the dismantling,examinationof the parts and the re-assembly procedure of the unit concerned.We have endeavoured to do this in the most simple form to obviateany difficulties on the part of the operator,who may be a newcomerto motorcycling or not conversant with repair procedure.Eachchapter deals with a specific operation (i.e.Dismantling the Engine)which is then broken down into paragraphs and sub-paragraphs.The sequence in which they are broken down is the correct dis-mantling or assembly procedure.In order not to confuse theoperator,sub-assemblies(i.e.cylinder head or flywheel assembly)are dealt with as separate units.  \nThe book is well illustrated with“exploded”and assembled illus-trations of the main units which will give the operator a compre-hensive view of the internal parts before commencing an operation,and also greatly assist during assembly.  \nRemember that if essential adjustments are neglected and onlycasual attention paid to the lubrication and periodical maintenance,the reliability will be affected and will appreciate how very difficult,it is to diagnose troubleby correspondence and this is made impossible in many cases becausethe information sent to us is so scanty.Every possible point whichmay have some bearing on the matter should be stated so that wecan send a useful and detailed reply.  \nREPAIRS  \nBefore a motorcycle is sent to our Works an appointment must bemade.This can be done by letter or telephone.When an ownerwishes to return his machine for guarantee repairs,he should firstconsult his Dealer as we do not normally accept machines in ourRepair Shop until the Dealer has inspected them.Frequently theDealer can overcome the trouble without the delay and expense ofsending the machine to the Works.This avoids the machine beingout of use for some days when it could be on
