master index of numbered operations has been compiled for universal application to all vehicles manufactured by theBritish Leyland Motor Corporation and,therefore,because of the different specifications of various models,continuity of thenumbering sequence cannot be maintained throughout this manual.  \nEach operation described in the manual is allocated a number from the master index and croSs-refers with an identicalnumber in the ‘Repair Operation Times'.The number consists of six digits arranged in three pairs.  \nEach instruction within an operation has a sequence number and,to complete the operation in the minimum time,it isessential that the instructions are performed in numerical sequence commencing at 1 unless otherwise stated.Whereapplicable,the sequence numbers
