In Chapter 1, Zack teases Ryley about her bare feet from when she visited him in the city, highlighting how city rules and noise feel strange to someone raised on open ranch life. Ryley reflects on the calmer country pace, while preparing to show Zack her environment and way of living in the Rocky Mountain stitches. As his laughtersubsided,he reminded her about something she haddone in the city the week before. \n“Remember when you walked to the park with mein your bare feet?\"Zack teased his younger cousin.\"Haha,BARE FEET!You can't walk down a city street in barefeet! You're such a country girl,Ryley!” \nRyley had recently visited her cousin Zack in thecity and had stayed at his house. She had spent a weekthere, and now it was Zack's turn to visit Ryley at herhome in the country. \nZack continued to tease her about her time in thecity.“And you couldn't sleep at night because thestreetlights were too bright!\"Zack said. \n“Why does he think that's so funny?”Ryley thought. She simply wasn't used to the hustle and bustle ofcity life. \nRyley had spent her whole life in the countryand hadn't expected that life in the city would be sodifferent. In the country, she often walked around theranch and played in the tall grass in her bare feet.Whycouldn't she do that in the city? She didn't understandwhy she couldn't run to the park without her shoeson. But Zack hadn't explained. He'd just told her shewas wrong. \nThe city was exciting, but it was also very busy andnoisy. The buildings were so tall they almost reached theclouds. It seemed that every inch of land was coveredin concrete, and trees were few and far between.Manypeople lived in the city, and they always seemed to be ina rush to get somewhere. \nIn the country, life was quite relaxed.People movedat a more leisurely pace and spent much of their timeoutside enjoying nature. Now that it was Zack's turn tovisit Ryley, she couldn't wait to show him her home andteach him about life in the country. \n880 \n# Chapter 2\n\nVisiting the Country \nRyley lived with her parents at the base of the RockyMountains in Colorado. The view from her window wasstunning. Each morning,Ryley would gaze out at themountains in amazement. She loved their snowcappedpeaks and liked to imagine the animals that lived in thethick forest. She hoped Zack would enjoy the landscapeas much as she did.She was excited to show him around. \n“Living in the country is easy compared to living inthe city,\"Zack said,as if he knew everything.“There areno buses zooming by,and there aren't very many peopleeither. It's kind of boring,if you ask me,but I guess wecan find something fun to do.\" \nRyley was confused by her cousin's comments \nbecause living in the country wasn't boring at all.Ryleyhad a great idea that was sure to show Zack just howexciting country life really was","cbCaipw9qAutwLmb","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipw9qAutwLmb","pdf",2990246,28,"English","# Chapter 1\n## Barefoot\n# Chapter 2\n## Visiting the Country\n# Chapter 3\n## Taking a Hike\n# Chapter
