D. , Class of 2027  \nManga-Thriller  \n3 Star ★★★☆☆  \nWhat made you interested in reading/watching/playing this media?  \nHow did you hear about it or come across it?  \nI found Volume One in a bookstore, and I had previously heard good things about it online.  \nSetting:  \nTokyo, Japan. It takes place roughly between 2005--2017.  \nProtagonists:  \nThe main character is Takemichi Hanagaki, a high schooler who is always looking for a fight, and he really wants to impress Manjiro Sano/ Mikey, leader of the Tokyo Manji.  \nPlotline:  \nIt's about a high-school delinquent Takemichi Hanagaki and the story of how he joins the most well known biker gang in Tokyo. (There's more to the story but it would be classified as a spoiler. )  \nReflection on the novel's strong points and weak points:  \nI think the art is pretty good. The main character is not a great guy and he's kind of irritating to read about. The story also doesn't make that much sense but it's very action-packed.  \nWhat are some themes that come across? friendship, loyalty  \nDo you feel that the cover art is true to what the media is about?  \nIt didn't say much about the story, so I would say not really.  \nDid you enjoy it? Would you recommend it?  \nIt was okay. I thought the art was really good and the story was not what I expected. I don't think I would recommend it to anyone in my life since none of my friends are interested in this kind of media, but I still liked the book.  \nReadalikes/Watchalikes are:  \nIf you enjoyed Tokyo Revengers you would probably also like Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Erased or Cowboy Bebop.
