The test that is required is the TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language) . Pre-nursing students need to take the TOEFL before taking HESI A2 .  \nWhat scores do I need to earn in order to be accepted in the nursing program?  \nTo enroll in the nursing program at LMC, you need a minimum score of 84, with a speaking subscore of 26 or higher.  \nCan I take the test anytime?  \nNO. There are set days and times when the test is administered. Currently, we do not offer it at the Testing Center here at LMC, but you can see the times and locations where you can take the test by clicking this link: [https://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/register/centers_dates](https://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/register/centers_dates).  \nWhat is the deadline to complete the TOEFL in regards to Nursing entry?  \nWe recommend that you take the test 2-3 months before the nursing application deadline. Allow 7–10 days after the mailing date for delivery in the United States.  \nHow long are my TOEFL scores valid?  \nTOEFL scores remain valid for 2 years after the test date. Because language proficiency can change considerably in a relatively short period of time, TOEFL scores more than 2 years old cannot be reported or verified.  \nHow do I submit my scores from these tests?  \nYou can indicate Lake Michigan College as the institution you want the scores sent to while you take the test. If you have already taken this test within the past two years, you can just request and send us your scores.
