Lieutenant's Woman(I969),Poems(I973)and The Ebony Tower(I974).  \nROBERT GITTINGS is a poet and literary biographer.His John Keatswon the W.H.Smith Award for I969 and his Young Thomas Hardythe Christian Gauss Award of Phi Beta Kappa in I975.His CollectedPoems were published in I976.He is at present at work on TheOlder Hardy.In I970 he received the C.B.E.and was made a Litt.D.at the
