We can’t wait for y’all to open debate and engage in our Dungeons and Dragons committee! Based on the popular DnD setting from the show Critical Role, you all will be stewarding the ever proud Dwendalian Empire through the coming conflict. From the mustering of armies to the reform of imperial laws, delegates will find themselves waging a magical war while also governing a diverse and expansive empire. \nYour CD, Chair, and staffers as well as the other committees can’t wait to see how you will approach this crisis. Whether it be climactic battles of massive fantasy armies or political intrigue covertly affecting the power balance, we’re sure we’ll have an amazing weekend! \nNow a little bit about your CD and Chair: \nHeyyy everyone, my name is Tammy Tam (yes this is my real and legal name lol) and I will be your chair for this committee. I am very excited to welcome you to NYUMUNC XIV and I cannot wait to work with all of you! I am currently a freshman at NYU studying liberal studies. I have been involved in MUN ever since my sophomore year of high school. My favorite parts of MUN are learning about all the different perspectives on global affairs through a collaborative environment and creating friendship bonds that last beyond conferences. Three fun facts about me are: I am originally from Honolulu, Hawai’i, I ama cat person (sorry if I offended any dog lovers-I love dogs too!), and my MBTI personality is INFJ. I hope that this conference, as well as all your other conferences ahead in your MUN journey, will be an educationally eye-opening and enjoyable experience! \nHey y’all, my name is Adnan Ahsan and I’m honored to be your CD for the weekend. I’m a student in my last year at Tandon studying Computer Science and have been in MUN since my freshman year of HS. I’m born and raised in NYC from the Bronx so shoutout to any fellow Bronxites! I’m also adie hard Yankees fan so Soxx fans watch out. \nNow, to start off your preparation for the committee, here is the background guide and a link hereto the setting’s wiki. If you have any questions, please do contact us. We look forward to seeing you in March! \nTammy Tam Adnan Ahsan \nChair Crisis Director \nNYUMUNC XIV NYUMUNC XIV \n[tkt7997@nyu.edu](tkt7997@nyu.edu) [aa5973@nyu.edu](aa5973@nyu.edu) \nHistory of Exandria \nThe Founding \nOriginally, Exandria was a chaotic land filled with hostile environments and roaming fauna. From the creational ooze that was left over from the beginning of reality, beings of otherworldly power, now known as the gods, rose and came to Exandria. Seeking purpose or for fun, for whatever reason, they created the dwarvish, elvish, human peoples among all the other peoples of Exandria. With Exandria still wrought with primordial chaos, many of the god’s children perished in The Founding. \nThe gods, either out of genuine concern or mischievous interest, gave their children gifts of their divine power to protect themselves. With the distribution of this power the primordial forces within Exandria stirred awake.
