Dibis slowly ate all the corn from her palm. Then Piringkay tied Dibis to its pen near the rice field.  \nShe cleaned the rooster’s pen and lined it with clean dried leaves. This was Piringkay’s favorite thing to do whenever she didn’t have class.  \nOne Sunday, Piringkay came to visit the chickens early in the morning. She saw the hen alone inside the pen.  \n”Lola! The hen just laid eggs!” she shouted. Lola Pining went over to the pen and saw the eggs inside the nest.”You’re right Piringkay. There are one, two, three, four eggs!” Lola counted.  \nSuddenly, Piringkay heard a sound. She followed the sound until it led her to Dibis’pen.  \nThe rooster clucked loudly in alarm. Piringkay’s eyes widened. She jumped in fear and dropped all the chicken food.  \nShe tried to catch Dibis. Other chickens began clucking loudly.  \n”Lola!
