An angel sent from God appeared to John to reveal events that would take place soon.  \nA loud voice said,“Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches; to the churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”  \nJohn wrote these words from the Lord to all the churches: “Grace to you and peace from God eternal, and Jesus Christ, the ruler of kings on earth.”  \n“Christ will come in the clouds in judgment, and everyone on earth will see him come. And all the peoples on earth will weep with sorrow on account of him.”  \nThen Jesus Christ, shining like the sun, appeared to John. John fell at his feet and worshiped. Jesus touched him and said,“Do not fear. I am the Living One. I was dead. Now I am alive forever.
