Kneeshaw argues that Christian teaching directly engages social and material realities rather than staying purely spiritual. He was just arich man. We learn that he was charitably disposed, for abeggar who was anything but pleasant to look upon, for he wasfull of sores which dogs came and licked, was permitted to sitat his gate and beg. \nBut do you remember what happened to the rich man afterhis death? We are told he did lift up his eyes in hll, being intorment, and craved the favour of one","cbCaioX3DFBS8pVL","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaioX3DFBS8pVL","pdf",750078,13,"English","# THE POLITICS OF CHRIST\n## AN APPEAL TO THE CHURCHES\n## A SORT OF GLORIFIED DUKE\n## HIS ATTITUDE TOWARD THE POOR","[{\"question\":\"What core argument does the pamphlet make about Christ’s teaching?\",\"answer\":\"It claims Christ’s teaching has political and material implications, not just spiritual concerns, and that attitudes to wealth and the poor shape the meaning of Christian life.\"},{\"question\":\"Why does the author say Christ condemns rich people?\",\"answer\":\"The author argues that, according to Christ, being rich itself jeopardizes one’s chance of entering heaven, as illustrated through parables about rich men.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the pamphlet describe Christ’s attitude toward the poor?\",\"answer\":\"It focuses on parables involving the poor, such as the figure of Lazarus, emphasizing suffering, neglect, and the moral contrast between the rich and those in need.\"}]","THE POLITICS OF CHRIST - An Appeal to the Churches | PDF",1789965655,33]
