The story begins with the old man expressing his desire to eat sel roti, a traditional Nepali rice flour doughnut. His wife initially laments the lack of ingredients, but upon their joint trip to the village to gather flour and ghee, they successfully prepare five sel rotis. A playful quarrel ensues as both the old man and the old woman claim to want to eat three sel rotis, leading to a clever resolution: whoever wakes up first the next day will eat two, and the one who wakes up last will eat three. This narrative beautifully captures a simple, relatable domestic conflict and its humorous resolution, offering a glimpse into the rural lifestyle and the sweet dynamics of a long-married couple. The story is accompanied by charming illustrations that bring the characters and their village setting to life, enhancing the reader's engagement with the traditional tale.","The Old Couple and Selroti Prabha Bhattarai \nArpita Shakya \nOnce upon a time, there was a small village.
